NOban 2025
Hello Fellow Hashers,
This year through your feedback and the hard work of the EH3 mismanagement team we will be trying a new venue for our annual NOban event.
This year's event will take place at Glen Clova (https://www.clova.com).
Location: https://w3w.co/laughs.caller.lung
Directions: From Edinburgh, take the M90 over the Queensferry Crossing, then continue on the M90/A90, through Dundee to the Kirriemuir Junction, Take the A926 towards Kirriemuir/Forfar. In Kirriemuir take the B955 to Cortachy (The Glens) and continue for approx. 15 miles to The Glen Clova Hotel.
We will be offering the same great value for money but with more options on accommodation and less travel for most.
What's included:
Two or three nights’ accommodation, 2 great runs, 2 fantastic circles, Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner.
How much?
This year there are various pricing options depending on whether you are staying for 2 or 3 nights and the type of accommodation you choose. Please note that some accommodation does not have self-catering facilities, but these include breakfast in the pricing. For pricing details please see the form below which will display your prices based on your choices. While you don’t have to stay the whole time, there are no reduced prices if you choose to arrive late or leave early.
Accommodation:
There are 10 hotel rooms with a mixture of twin and double beds,
8 dog friendly steading rooms with a mixture of twin, double and bunk rooms, 9 lodges sleeping 2,4, or 6 hashers, and finally 2 houses which sleep 4 and 10 hashers.
There are 83 beds in total. There is also room for up to 2 campervans, but no electric hook-up available.
While we cannot guarantee your choice of accommodation, we will endeavour to match your preferences where possible. We will not move you into a more expensive option without speaking with you first.

The prices quoted are early bird offers so the sooner you commit the better the price.
From 31st March the venue will open any not booked accommodation to the general public.
So, to ensure you can join us this year, sign up early.
Any registrations made after the 31st March will be have to be paid in full at a non-discounted rate.

Food:
Friday: The venue wants to know the numbers of people who plan to eat in the bar (at own expense).

Saturday: 3 course buffet meal paid for by the hash.

Fancy Dress – An announcement on this year’s fancy dress theme will be made shortly.
Entertainment:
DJ – Saturday night
The D'oily Krapp Theatre Company – TBC
Dogs: Most lodges, houses and steading rooms are dog friendly, please indicate on the form if you are bringing your dog s this can be considered when allocating accommodation.
An additional levy of £15 per dog in the steadings and £30 a dog in the self-catering accommodation will be added to your overall costs.
NB: Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant or hotel.
All chalet mates must be in agreement with your pooch joining them. Please check and we will too.
Raffle: We will be holding a raffle again this year after the Sunday Trail.
We welcome any suitable raffle prizes you may have lurking in your booze cupboard or any other suitable or unsuitable contributions.
