On behalf of the Edinburgh Hash House Harrier Mismanagement Committee,
I am hugely excited to bring you NOban 2026 #sameshitdifferentdate.
Whilst the format of the weekend will largely remain the same, we hope to bring you
new hashing territory, new beer, luxury accommodation, hot tubs, and great food.
We look forward to seeing you all there and making some fantastic memories.
Please find all the info you need below and if you have any further questions, please contact Flying Boats ([email protected]) who will respond and collate any FAQ’s to distribute to the group.
A WhatsApp group will be set up to communicate, provide updates, share photos, and ask questions.

Glen Clova Hotel and lodges are set at the far end of the B955. This is a ring road,
and the local rule is to drive the high road (the one on the left) on the way to hotel
and the low road on departure from the hotel. Both are equidistance to the hotel.
This road is mostly wide enough for two cars to pass slowly and does offer passing places also. It is an easy road to drive, but not at speed. It is a country road, so look out for wildlife crossing, take your time, and enjoy the magnificent views.

Friday:
Check-In from 3pm Arrive at Glen Clova and fetch your keys from reception
Reception have been provided with your muggle (real) names to avoid any offence.
Now feel free to settle into your accommodation, explore the grounds and check out the facilities.
Dinner: Dinner will be served in the Glen Logie Restaurant and Brandy Bothy
(Angus Restaurant, Bar & Bothy | Glen Clova Hotel & Lodges)
for those that opted to on the Friday evening.
Please note this will be pay as you go and is not included in your NOban payment.
Due to the large numbers we will need to have a few separate sittings for dinner so please specify your sitting preference on this form or contact Flying Boats directly.
Evening: This year we have secured the use of the Barn for Friday night
where we are planning on putting on some entertainment.
Part of this will include a NOban’s Got Talent event.
If you have any hidden talents or would like to pull together a short piece for our entertainment, then please reach out to Stiffy Cocky @ [email protected].
The bar in the function room will not be open so please use the Climbers Bar and bring your drinks through for a fun social night.
You can enjoy a good selection of wines, local ales, gins and vodkas.
Other drinks, including soft drinks are available too,
but please do not bring your own drinks into the bar or barn.
Saturday:
Breakfast: For those staying in the hotel or Steading, your breakfast is included and will be served in the Glen Logie Restaurant between 8am and 10am
For those staying in the lodges or houses it is self-catering
Run: Saturday’s run location is still to be confirmed but will be near the local town
of Kirriemuir (about a 20 minute drive)
Exact details of the run location will be published and sent out in due course.
You should make your own arrangements with other hashers if you need a lift.
Hares are Septic Sporran & McCavity There will be options for a short, medium, or long trail. Circle & down-downs after the run in the carpark or at the On Inn depending on weather.
On Inn: Kirriemuir Golf Club will provide soup and sandwiches (included in the weekend price) All drinks to be bought at your own expense.
Evening Entertainment: (The Barn) Fancy dress theme is “Halloween” (obviously).
So, get your creative juices flowing and see if you can be this year’s winner of the coveted Les Award for the best fancy dress. The bar will be open from 12:30pm (Pay as you go)
and dinner will be served at 7pm (included in your weekend price)
A special performance from The Floppy Cocky Theatre Company will follow dinner.
Then dance the night away with local band The Cherry Bombz
There will be an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets throughout the night so bring along some cash to get yourself in with a chance of winning some great prizes.
If you have anything you would like to donate to the raffle, please reach out to Flying Boats who will make sure the donation is suitable.
All proceeds from the raffle go to keeping costs down for NOban.
Sunday:
Breakfast: For those staying in the hotel or Steading, your breakfast is included and will be served in the Glen Logie Restaurant between 8am and 10am
For those staying in the lodges or houses it is self-catering.
Check-Out: For those staying 2 nights, check-out is 11am.
Please put belongings in your car or there will be options to leave bags in other hasher’s accommodation that are staying the 3 nights.
Run: Sunday’s run will be from (TBC)
You should make your own arrangements with other hashers if you need a lift.

Circle & down-downs after the run in the carpark. Raffle will be drawn at the circle.
The rest of the day is yours to do with as you please.
Lunch Some people will be leaving after the run on Sunday but for those wanting to stay for lunch or staying the 3 nights, please make your own arrangements for lunch. There are options at the hotel (Angus Restaurant, Bar & Bothy | Glen Clova Hotel & Lodges) or you can explore the local area.
Dinner: Dinner will be served in the Glen Logie Restaurant and Brandy Bothy

for those that opted to on the Sunday evening.
Please note this will be pay as you go and is not included in your NOban payment.

at the dog friendly Climbers Bar.
There you can enjoy a good selection of wines, local ales, gins and vodkas.
Other drinks, including soft drinks are available too.
Those of you who are lucky enough to have hot tubs. Please invite others to enjoy and socialise so they are not stuck in the hotel or steading rooms.
Monday:

and will be served in the Glen Logie Restaurant between 8am and 10am
For those staying in the lodges or houses it is self-catering.
Check-Out: Check-out is 11am.
